Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experience Class 5 Driver/ Sorters to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to all safety regulations as a driver and the sorter will be responsible for sorting and organizing the packages with care . This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and experience in delivery/ courier driving.

• Operate a courier van to transport parcels to various locations.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
• Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any incidents.
• Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including loading and unloading tasks.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety guidelines while driving.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required.
• Previous experience in commercial driving or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading and unloading processes.
• Experience with warehouse operations is a plus.
• Forklift certification is advantageous but not mandatory; training may be provided.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties of a Sorter

• Load and unload packages
• Sort packages based on the locations
• Arrange the packages according to the labels
• Communicate with the supervisor to ensure the smooth flow of work
• Work as a team with enthusiasm

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to communicate fluently in English
• Ability to bend, squat, lift and perform repetitive motions
• Reliable form of transportation
• Must own a pair of steel toe work boots

Job Types: Full-time, Casual, Seasonal

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
